On market day our stallholders set up in Fraser St, Clunes main historic precinct, the picture perfect set for the movies Heath Ledger's Ned Kelly, Mad Max, the remake of the 1950's classic On the Beach and the ABC mini series Queen, Kat Carmel and St Jude.
For sale is farm fresh fruit and vegetables, locally made jams and honey, plants and hand made things, treasures and collectables.
Clunes is a short 30 minute drive from Maryborough, 20 minutes from Creswick or Avoca, 25 minutes from Ballarat and 50 minutes from Bendigo. If you're coming from Melbourne, allow 90 minutes from Westgate Bridge on the Western Highway.
